About

Self-awareness before self-improvement

Natural Intelligence is about self-awareness: how your mind, body and energy actually work, and how to work with them rather than against them.

How this is written

Noticing before fixing

Every piece here starts with what is already happening rather than what should be. Advice given to someone who has not looked at themselves is a guess with confidence attached.

Only what can be checked

Ayurveda and permaculture are old, careful bodies of observation, and not everything in either can be verified. Where something can be checked, we say so. Where it cannot, we say that instead of dressing it up.

Small, and long enough

One change, given a month. Most self-improvement fails by attempting five things and abandoning all of them in a fortnight.

Cost decides the price, not value

Anything that costs nothing to hand over is free and stays free: the assessment, every guide, every practice, the basic tools. Books and written tracks cost nothing per copy and took months, so you choose what to pay, including nothing. Only the things that consume something every time they happen carry a fixed price, and each one says what it consumes. Nothing free is a teaser for something paid.

Not a doctor

This is educational material about how you work. It does not diagnose, treat or replace anyone qualified, and it says so wherever it touches the body rather than once in a policy.

Questions people actually ask

Is this Ayurveda?

It draws on it. Ayurveda is a long, careful record of observing how bodies behave over a day and a year, and a lot of that holds up. It also contains claims that cannot be checked. We use the first part and are explicit about the second.

What does the assessment do with my answers?

It shows you a picture of where your attention and energy sit and points at practices. It is stored only if you ask us to email it to you. It is not a diagnosis and not a personality type.

Do I need to pay for anything?

No. The assessment, every guide, every practice and the basic tools are free and will stay free, with no account and no email required. The books and written tracks are pay what you want, and that includes nothing. Only three things carry a fixed price, and they are the three that cost us something every time they happen: an assessment read by a model, an hour with a person, and monthly continuity.

Why is one assessment free and another one charged?

The free one is arithmetic we run on your answers, which costs nothing however many people use it. The other is read by a model, and we are billed for every run. If we gave that away the bill would scale with use until we withdrew it, which would help nobody.

How is this different from BrandOS?

BrandOS is about a business. This is about the person running one, or not running one. They are both Turtle Labs and they share a view: look at what is actually happening before deciding what to do about it.

Can I use this if I am unwell?

Ask someone qualified first. Nothing here is medical advice and none of it is a substitute for treatment.
